Learn how to: • Properly onboard, train, and empower staff from day 1 • Identify and act on hazards early • Focus on compliance and strive for flawless recordkeeping • Commit to continuous improvement • Obtain leadership and management buy-in • Define the complete role and duty of the safety manager

2:35 p.m. – 3:35 p.m.	Measurement Tools and Direction for Improvement Measuring ongoing success and identifying areas of improvement call for the right tools and a smart action plan for the future. Understand the importance of: • Reviewing documentation, programs, and policies on a regular basis; it is essential! • Conducting walk-throughs on a schedule, and what to keep an eye out for • Discussing safety hazard findings with leadership teams, while highlighting any and all wins and opportunities • Communication with employees prior to the employee interaction • Implementing a safety survey to uncover perceptions, knowledge, and buy-in with team members • Engaging your staff with group interviews
